Discussing the Next Decade of Trends with the Next Decade of Leaders
I really enjoyed speaking to the CURT YP group last week in Philadelphia at the Construction Users Roundtable Young Professionals Summit. This group of 75 of the next leaders in our industry, from owner organizations, contractors and engineering firms, came together for two days to learn about the industry, network, and develop their skills as leaders. I had the privilege of giving them a sneak preview of our upcoming study on the key trends of the next decade based upon interviews with over 30 of the largest corporations and government agencies in the US. This is a companion piece to our recently published study on the last decade of trends, Riding the Wave of Capital Construction Delivery Through the Turbulent Past Decade. We had an interactive conversation about some of the key issues we’ve continued to address in the industry – labor shortages, the cost of conflict, etc. – and I’m confident that this generation is ready to roll up their sleeves and tackle these challenges head on!
You can view the full presentation here, and look out for more on Part II of our Key Owner Trends study soon.
